Waturagama is a little
village blessed with a fertile soil where around 200 families
exist either by means of agriculture or being employed in
the nearby towns.
The Knitting factory on the top of the road is a slightly
modified version of the wooden handloom. Products made here
are shipped to Europe.
It occasionally rains (this area is known as Waturugama,
meaning the village with water) but is a nice refreshing
shower, not chilly & most welcome especially if you
have your valuables under wraps.
